Straw Hats
My love of redesigning straw hats began with a thrift store find in 2021. It was a totally stiff, white hat with bunches of purple silk flowers all over it...but the hat was interesting enough so I paid my two dollars and the adventure in straw hats began!
My love of redesigning straw hats began with a thrift store find in 2021. It was a totally stiff, white hat with bunches of purple silk flowers all over it...but the hat was interesting enough so I paid my two dollars and the adventure in straw hats began!
This was my first success in working with reshaping shantung straw hats.
To the right are some of the straw hats I've redesigned since my first effort with the purple and white monstrosity.
I try to find used shantung Panama hats whenever possible, but any stiff straw cowboy hat will work if it's of good quality.
